Administration

This section is for administrators. It has two parts: the one-time Setup, which connects Ask Alma to your learning platform, and the Admin Dashboard, where you continuously analyze and control usage at your institution. Instructors and students do not have to set up any of this themselves.

How Ask Alma is used in teaching is described in the Usage section.

Setup: integration with the learning platform

Start with the LTI integration overview. It explains what launch and Deep Linking mean and what to watch out for when exchanging signatures. The specific steps are in the guide for your learning platform:

Admin Dashboard

Administrators open the Admin Dashboard directly in Ask Alma via Settings & help → Administration at the bottom of the sidebar. It shows the usage and costs of your institution and contains all settings that apply institution-wide:

Statistics	Requests, users, costs, models and tools, learning content and assistants in the selected period, monthly overviews, export as a PDF report or CSV file
Management	Turning tools on and off, preferred model selection, limits, global knowledge, additional administrators, privacy notices
Global assistants	Assistants for all users at the institution, independent of the course
Vouchers	Additional credit for course participants or via voucher code
